U.V. sterilization system [L024]

UV sterilization Purpose Sterilization with ultraviolet rays acting directly on the genetic structure of bacteria at the DNA level. A high degree of sterilization safety, over chemical sterilization where bacteria can develop resistance to chemical agents. A lamp emits ultraviolet radiation very close to the optimum wavelength for maximum absorbancy by nucleic acids. Components * 1.5 micron liquid filtration * 0.5 micron liquid filtration * U.V. lamps * 1.5 micron liquid filtration Process logic Prior to the ultraviolet sterilization system, the liquid is pre-filtered at 1.5 micron and again at 0.5. After the sterilization system, it undergoes a third filtration at 1.5 micron, protecting the circuit downstream against accidental breakage of the lamps and contamination of the system with glass. Maximum temperature of the water passing the lamps is 60°, to be scaled according to the required flow rate.
