The old interlayer dispenser rotates through a rod mechanism. There is no additional protection against the potential fall of the dispenser head, in case of breakage of the head-lifting belt.

In the new configuration, the column is coupled directly on the motorization with reduced backlash (precise rotation and positioning).

The arm is strengthened and it moves thanks to re-circulating ball guides, fixed into the aluminium column, thus highly reducing the rolling friction.

The arm movement occurs through a toothed belt equipped with a pneumatic safety system, that blocks mechanically the arm when the guarding is open or in emergency stop.  All dispenser arm movements are fully controlled by encoder and inverter. The max speed is 4.5 layer/1’

Actual roller formation table is made of fixed/friction rollers with 32mm pitch and OD =27mm, operated by string-belts.

This does not grant good stability in movement for small packs.

New row preparation rollers are motorized through a flat-belt (positive transmission - controlled by a frequency converter).
Rollers have 30mm pitch (smaller gaps) and OD = 25 mm, with bearings inside.

The system improves handling of small packs (3x2 0.33lt and 0.5lt) and reduces packs sliding or unproper positioning on rollers.

In the old configuration, the layer-guides quadrature is pneumatically activated requiring manual adjustment by the operator for each format change over.

In the new configuration, there are motorized guides on all three sides of the lifter and the encoder for positioning.

No manual/mechanical adjustments are necessary to change the format/layer thanks to the automatic function.

Less maintenance needed due to the belt transmission instead of the mechanical one.

The system, allows to accurately detect the height of the pallet to be processed in the machine. This avoids the problems associated with the frequent differences between one pallet and another one, avoids accidental impacts of the machine head during deposit phase and ensure further control on the raw materials.

Safety radar sensor SRE200 is an active protection radar system that monitors the dangerous area of a machinery with the goal to detect human beings. The sensors are FMCW radars (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) based on a detection algorithm that is used to detect movements and micro-movements, ignoring static objects. High availability are ensured even where there are external influences such as dust, dirt, rain, light, sparks or vibrations.

The new additional module saves time by automating and parallelizing the pad placement, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of the palletization process.

The additional pad placing module places the pad on the empty pallet, while the main pad placer only needs to place the pads between the layers. In this way, the palletization process is not interrupted to allow the main pad placer to also place the pad on the empty pallet.
